About Steve
Steve Jones has been shooting pictures for as long as he can remember. He began a photojournalism career in 1988, and has worked for The Associated Press, Ann Arbor News, Knoxville Journal and other newspapers. His photos have appeared in those and a variety of other publications, including Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, The Kansas City Star, Detroit Free Press and St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
In recent years, Steve has spent time on projects of special interest, including documentary work and animal portraits. He is particularly proud of a photo story he did about an animal shelter in Tennessee, feline portraits to raise money for Good Mews, a cat shelter in Atlanta, and photos of homeless dogs and cats looking for forever homes for Operation Paws for Homes, Adoption Option Dog Rescue, and Lucky Cat Rescue in Maryland.
From backyards to stadiums, from playgrounds to presidential campaigns, there is magic to be found everywhere. Steve's passion is finding and preserving those moments.
